Travelling with animals
If you are travelling with a cat or a dog you must book it in advance. First book your flight and then call our Call Centre (+46-31-600 385) or your travel agency.
Travelling with animals in the cabin
We only allow dogs and cats to travel with us. The animal has to be transported in a clean box or a similar sealed and enclosed container with maximum dimensions 45x35x20 cm (the maximum dimensions on flights from England are 45x30x16 cm). The animal and the container must weigh less than 8 kg total, and are considered to be one piece of carry-on baggage. If you travel with an animal you are not supposed to take any additional hand baggage.
It is your responsibility as a passenger travelling with an animal to investigate the regulations with respect to vaccinations and quarantine on arrival. City Airline will not be responsible for the costs that may arise if passengers have not investigated the relevant regulations. Transport of animals is not allowed on our flights from Sweden to England. Furthermore, animals are not permitted onboard if there is an allergic passenger on the flight.
The number of animals per flight is limited to two to all destinations except to Rome, Nice, Barcelona, Palma, Alicante and Malaga where we allow a total of five animals per flight. Please note that travelling with animals only is allowed when travelling in economy class. When travelling with an animal you will be seated in the aft part of the cabin. Please also note that your animal must stay inside the box or container during the whole flight.
Domestic: 200 SEK / 20 Euro one way
International: 400 SEK / 40 Euro one way
Guide dogs and service dogs
Guide dogs and other service dogs, such as police dogs, rescue dogs, etc., travel at no additional cost, and there is no restriction on weight. They do not need to be kept in a box or container. These dogs must, however, be booked in advance.

Travel with animals in the cargo compartment
Travelling to the following destinations you have the opportunity to travel with a cat or a dog which is transported in the aircraft’s cargo compartment: Rome, Nice, Barcelona, Palma, Alicante and Malaga. The cage must be approved for transportation by air.
The cage/container shall:
• be made of a well ventilated, strong, leakage and bite proof material,
• be clean and disinfected,
• have a solid and leak proof floor, with a layer of moisture absorbing material
• have a door with an adequate fastening device,
• be equipped with containers for food and water,
• be large enough to allow the animal to stand, turn around and lie down in a natural position.
The dimensions of the cage can be maximum 91 cm (length), 61 cm (width), 66 cm (height) and with a maximum weight of 50 kg.
