Travellers in Business class may take up to 30 kg checked-in baggage and 8 kg carry-on baggage. Travellers in Economy class may take up to 20 kg checked-in baggage and 8 kg carry-on baggage. Only one piece of carry-on baggage is allowed for each passenger. The baggage allowance for infants is 10 kg checked-in baggage (which includes a pram/child car-seat). You may take more weight than your allowance if you pay excess baggage charges.
Excess baggage charges
Domestic flights, cost per flight and kilogram: € 6.
International flights, cost per flight and kilogram: € 12.
If you are travelling with more baggage than allowed (se above) there is a max weight per bag of 32 kg.
DAA bagage (Delivery At aircraft bagage)
When flying with City Airline, you don't have to check luggage in if it weighs less than 15 kg. Simply give your luggage to the personnel at the aircraft, and pick it up again when the plane has landed. The size may not exceed 65x70x35. DAA service is not offered on Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Palma, Nice and Rome.
Checked-in baggage
Baggage that you check in must be securely packed so that it does not break during the flight. It must also resist normal baggage handling at the airport when loading and unloading the aircraft.
Electronic equipment
You may bring and use electronic equipment such as a laptop computer onboard, except during take-off and landing. However, equipment with electronic transmitters and/or receivers may not be used onboard. You are allowed to use your mobile phone onboard when using the “Flight Mode”, except during take-off and landing.
Almost all electronic equipment can be stored in your hand baggage. For special electronic equipment, and when you are unsure, we recommend you to ask the staff at check in. For example, a hairdryer or an electronic razor can be stored either in your hand baggage or in your checked in baggage.
Transport may be refused if:
1. Baggage is not securely packed.
2. Baggage is suspected of containing hazardous goods.
3. You refuse to allow the baggage to be searched.
Lost baggage
If your baggage is missing when you have landed, contact the representatives of City Airline at the airport. They will register the lost baggage and start investigation. You will receive more information about lost baggage when the loss is registered.
Damaged baggage
If your baggage is damaged after travelling with City Airline, contact the representatives of City Airline at the arrival airport. If you discover the damage after you have left the airport, you have to show the baggage within seven days at the arrival airport.
Responsibility for baggage
In accordance with the practice of other airlines and with the "Conditions of contract", City Airline does not accept responsibility for: loss of, damage to, or delay in the transport of items of a fragile or perishable nature. This is also true for money, jewellery, silver, business documents, bank documents, passports and other identity documents, samples of goods, and medicine. This is the case independently of whether the delivery takes place with or without the knowledge of the airline.
